Smart Stable

Modern equestrian facilities have changed remarkably little. Arenas, stable yards, stables and paddocks may serve different purposes, but they remain largely passive and disconnected. Care still depends heavily on people being present, noticing subtle changes and piecing together information scattered across observations, records and professionals.

Important patterns can remain hidden until they become visible problems, while repetitive routines consume time and resources that could be better spent on the horse.

We are developing Smart Stable to connect training, care and shared knowledge around the horse. ArenaBuddy, StableBuddy and DataBuddy form one connected ecosystem, designed to work within existing facilities and support the people responsible for the horse’s wellbeing.

Smart Stable is being developed to combine intelligent technology with the horse’s ability to learn and participate, creating a more responsive environment across the entire facility.

Whether you own one horse or manage an entire yard, the aim is better training and care, less repetitive work and waste, and better-informed decisions.

By connecting observations and records, Smart Stable is designed to help people recognise meaningful changes and decide what needs attention. The horse’s own learning and responses become part of that understanding, helping daily routines become more responsive to the individual.

ArenaBuddy — PERFORM

ArenaBuddy combines horse and rider wearables to help riders understand how their actions affect their horse, bringing evidence into decisions about training, recovery and workload.

StableBuddy — CARE

StableBuddy is an interactive educational smart feeder that gives horses opportunities to learn and participate in their own care — beginning with learning to use a designated toilet area.

DataBuddy — SHARE

DataBuddy brings the horse’s health records and care information together in one owner-controlled digital record, designed to coordinate care and drastically reduce the time professionals spend on admin.

Together, they connect training, care and shared information around the individual horse.

Smart technology should make daily life simpler. We are developing Smart Stable around the people who use it, with straightforward interactions supported by connected systems behind the scenes.

Smart Stable is designed to integrate with existing facilities while helping us rethink how we train, care and manage. You can introduce each element step by step, starting where it offers the greatest value and expanding as required.

By bringing training, care, observations and records together, Smart Stable aims to make the horse’s responses easier to recognise and understand. Useful measurements and connected information give people more context for their observations, practical experience and professional judgement.

The purpose is better welfare, less unnecessary work and a deeper understanding between horses and the people who care for them.
